A Psychosexual Narrative
Been very busy in the studio this summer but also have been taking some time to think. I've never been one to be afraid of getting lost in my own head.

Vulnerability
Clay experiments from the last couple of months. They are slightly more intimate than my large fabric draperies. Still in a stage of play and process.
I've been craving simplicity and efficiency a lot lately.
Summer break is close. I can smell the toasted pine needles.

I'm sorry I hate the sun
I spent some time reading through my old blog and it seems as though I strayed far from the format of those entries. I don't know why. I decided I need to bring it back.
Even. Hermitic.
Unravel usually has a positive connotation...but I'd rather think of it with complete balance.
For some reason, for the rest of my life, I will have to continue to explain why I don't like cooking in the sun.
No...being cold and mean isn't my main modus operandi.

Collages
I've been working on a lot of collages lately. They came out of personal ideas on (and experiences with) gender, sexuality, erotic gesture, and metamessages. I am still just enjoying playing around with process. I'll continue to make a ton of them until I can really dissect and assess the series. Right now, they each feel like short visual poems.
I'm looking forward to making more of these with my own photographs and printing these collages digitally on to fabric and wallpaper.

100th post - Summer 2015
Here is some photo documentation of the work I did this summer. I've been working on a lot of big projects for installation. I also did a ton of prints, mostly through intaglio and monotype processes.
